Why so Blue, Panda Bear??

Outfit:  BLUE!!  Blue hair clips, blue button-down shirt, blue jeans, blue argyle socks, I even changed the cover of my stupid smartphone from my usual pink to blue.  My purse and coat are brown and my shoes (stupid shoes) are the same black as yesterday... but I've already stated that I don't really care enough about shoes to have a different pair for every day of the year. 

Weather: Chilly - but promising to be nice later :)

My Ranting: 

Its a blue kind of day.... no, not blue as in sad... no, I'm actually quite happy and positive today. 

Maybe its my OCD, but in my head I've assigned a color to each month of the year... just a color that in my head, fits the month itself.  And January is a light forget-me-not kind of blue.  Very light, pretty - winterish!  

And today it just happened that I picked out all kinds of BLUE things to wear to work.  No idea why?  It just happened.  :)  

The Color Blue

The color blue is the color of trust and responsibility

The color blue is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. Blue hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way.

The color blue is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and our ability to communicate our needs and wants. It inspires higher ideals.

Blue's wisdom comes from its higher level of intelligence, a spiritual perspective.

Blue is the color of the spirit, devotion and religious study. It enhances contemplation and prayer. On the other hand, blue's devotion can be to any cause or concept it believes in, including devotion to family or work.

Blue is the helper, the rescuer, the friend in need. It's success is defined by the quality and quantity of its relationships. It is a giver, not a taker. It likes to build strong trusting relationships and becomes deeply hurt if that trust is betrayed.

Blue is conservative and predictable, a safe and non-threatening color, and the most universally liked color of all, probably because it is safe and non-threatening. At the same time blue is persistent and determined to succeed in whichever endeavors it pursues.

Change is difficult for blue. It is inflexible and when faced with a new or different idea, it considers it, analyzes it, thinks it over slowly and then tries to make it fit its own acceptable version of reality.

Blue is nostalgic. It is a color that lives in the past, relating everything in the present and the future to experiences in the past.

Positive and Negative Traits

Hmmmm......... interesting.....  I don't think of myself as rigid or conservative... YUCK... definitely not conservative....  hmmm....  so we'll go with peace and calm and wise.  Yeah - I like that!!! 

Random subject change:  My new goal is to wean myself off of soda.  I should be aiming to get myself off of caffeine completely, but I just LOVE my daily coffee!!!  Seriously - LOVE it!!!  And I have 2 small children and work full time... no... caffeine is a MUST!!  However, soda just has horrible ingredients, and lots of empty calories.  And I'm finding lately that the carbonation messes with my tummy.  :( 

As I sit here typing this, I'm sipping on a can of Dr. Pepper (love) because my coffee just disappears far too quickly on the commute to work.  LOL!!  So after this can is empty, I'll fill up my big ass cup (its HUGE - 64 ounces!!!) with ice and water and sip on that for the rest of the day.  YAY!!  Hydration ROCKS!!!
