There's a hole in my straw :-{

Date: 1.4.13 - the first Friday of the new year! 

Mood: Meh....
Health: I actually slept decently last night!!!  Strange strange dreams though...

Weather: clear and pretty and COLD

Outfit: grey jeans, white 3/4 sleeved tshirt with a bedazzled peace sign in the middle (shut up - its pretty!!) my fave black overlay thingy (its like a cardigan... but its cotton... and no buttons, so I dunno what to call it) many pinkish colored stripey socks and the same ol ugly black shoes as all week...  (seeing a pattern yet? LOL) No makeup as of yet... I think I'm starting to scare people... LMAO!!

Song of the Day: "One Headlight" The Wallflowers - actually, that's the 2nd song I heard this morning... the first one was "That's the Way" by KC and the Sunshine Band... however, I only actually heard the last 20 seconds or so of it - so I can't actually count it.  LOL!

Pic of the day: I'm gonna paint you a mental picture today b/c I wasn't able to whip out  my phone while driving 60mph on the interstate this morning in order to catch this most awesome sight.... 
So I'd been riding behind this 18wheeler for half my journey down the interstate and finally I had an opening to get over into the right lane, which would take me to my exit... natch, I sped up b/c I'm terrified of riding on the ass corner of a big rig b/c they can't see me there... 
when I got up to the middle of the trailer of the truck I see a pair of eyes staring at me...  *gasp* WTF??? 
As I said, by this time I'm going 60mph around a curvy spot in the road so I couldn't exactly turn my head and stare.... but I glanced over enough times to confirm that - yup - I was being watched....  by a truckload of COWS !!!  Its not like I was just catching black-and-white glimpses through the slats in the truck.. no... They were shoving each others heads out of the way in order to look through the largest hole at their eye level in order to peek out at the world... and in doing so - I got a clear view of atleast 3 cows faces! 
Being the hippie that I am, I prefer to believe that these cows are off to a joyful day at a lovely cow amusement park full of different colored grassy pastures and cud-chewing contests... :D

Daily Rantings: I can't actually say that I have anything in particular to "rant" about this morning... other than the fact that there's a hole in my straw... >:(
My husband makes a bit of fun of me for it - but I prefer to drink my coffee with a straw... yes... even hot coffee... I dunno why... I just like it. 
Because of this odd habit of mine, we buy boxes of throw-away straws at the grocery store to keep at home for my daily pre-work coffee.  Usually, if I've chosen a defective straw, I catch it before leaving the house so I can promptly dispose of the offending thing and get a new one.  Today, however, I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't notice until I was in the car and out of the driveway that *gasp* there's a hole...  Thankfully its not so big as to completely prevent my coffee drinking... but it slows the process considerably.... so here I am at work, and I still have coffee to drink (usually its long gone by the time I actually get here).  So all in all, I guess its not a horrible thing... though still annoying. 
(told you I was a dork... who else do you know that can ramble on for an entire paragraph about a hole in a straw?? LMAO!!!!)
